Dr. Logan Beene
Dr. Beene was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He attended undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University and then received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 1993. Dr. Beene performed his externship with the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, and worked with the Highland Park Animal Hospital, Park Cities Animal Clinic, Lakewood Animal Hospital, and Dallas Veterinary Emergency Clinic, all before and during veterinary school. After working in San Angelo and Killeen, along with his partners from Town and Country Veterinary Center and Killeen Veterinary Hospital, he opened Crossroads Veterinary Hospital in March of 1996.
Since then, Crossroads has grown enough to build a larger standalone clinic and has had to add 4 doctors to keep up with the expansion of clientele base. Dr. Beene enjoys internal medicine and surgery equally of dogs and cats and has recently been included in the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice, a group that maintains high standards in the practice of veterinary medicine through the participation in continuing education and postgraduate studies.
Dr. Beene’s wife is Deborah Cloud Beene, of Cloud Real Estate, a realty company in Killeen for over 110 years. He and his wife have two daughters, Gracie, and Katie. They have 3 dogs Bruno, Judge and Jelly, and 1 cat Thelma. Dr. Beene enjoys spending time with his girls and playing golf. Dr. Beene is also proud to announce that he no longer drives a minivan!! He has upgraded to a very manly SUV!!
Dr. Martina Caperton
Dr. Martina Caperton graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She worked in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex for 6 years before returning to her hometown. She has developed a special interest in preventative medicine, surgery and dentistry. She enjoys continually learning and employing all the new and upcoming advancements in veterinary medicine. Dr. Caperton has 2 dogs an Italian Greyhound named Cairo and a Catahoula named Gibson.
Dr. Katie McNeese
Dr. McNeese was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She attended Texas A&M University as an undergraduate and earned a degree in Biomedical Science and Animal Science in 2010. Dr. McNeese remained in College Station and attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McNeese graduated from Veterniary school in May 2014. She has special interest in preventative care and dermatology. She enjoys practicing archery with her compound bow and spending time with her friends and family. She has one dog Smurphy and a cat Dougie Fresh.
Dr. Lindsey Ash-Bennett
Dr. Ash has returned to us after a brief out of Texas experience! She was raised in the small town of Huntsburg, Ohio. After graduating from the University of Findlay with a Pre-Veterinary Degree, she attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and received her DVM in 2005. She spent four years practicing in Ohio before spending six years here with us. She moved back to Ohio for a few years but missed Texas so much that she just could not stay away. She has three dogs Dash, Duke, Titan and two cats Booker and Grant. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her Husband and Stepdaughter, weight lifting, and reading.
Dr. Stephanie Hunt
Dr. Stephanie Hunt was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2012. She worked in El Paso, Texas for 6 years. Her interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, as well as ultrasound. She and her husband Ryan have 2 dogs, Ruger (a Labrador/Australian shepherd mix), Kimber (a Boxer), and a cat named Sage. She enjoys backpacking, hiking, biking, camping, and all things outdoors.
